Even if you aren’t a football fan or specifically a Cincinnati Bengals fan (like me) this cake is still super fun! First of all the orange and black works well for Halloween so it does double duty for us in the month of October. And my daughter loved the cake so much that she’s already planning ahead to her birthday in March and is requesting this cake remade in white and black zebra stripes. You could tint that orange vanilla cake any color you want. The possibilities are endless.
The cake is so simple even though it’s made from scratch. Once the batter is made the stripes are made by alternating the batter in the pan with muffin scoops like THESE. One scoop of black followed by one scoop of orange. Keep alternating until the batter is all in the pan. That’s it!

- 2 tbsp whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

Hey! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know
how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when viewing
from my iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to resolve this issue.
If you have any suggestions, please share.
Thank you!

The Genesis theme I’m on is automatically mobile friendly. Before that I had the WPTouch plug-in installed. Hope that helps.

Making two for super bowl WhoDey party this weekend! Question – What does the beer do to the flavor? I’ve never seen a cake call for beer in the recipe, and have been making bundts for quite some time.

The popularity of this 6 year old recipe thanks to the Bengals making it to the Super Bowl this year has me giddy with excitement! So, I took this recipe for Guinness Chocolate Bundt Cake https://www.foodtasticmom.com/guinness-chocolate-bundt-cake/ and halved it to make this Bengals Striped Bundt Cake. I had never made a cake with beer either, before making the Guinness Cake.
But if you read my description of the Guinness Cake, it is SO moist and chocolatey! It’s seriously the best chocolate cake I’ve ever made from scratch. The beer really helps with the tender, moist texture of the cake. Beyond that, you really don’t end up tasting beer at all. Enjoy and Who Dey!!!
