Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls use just a few simple ingredients for a unique twist on this ever popular flavor combination.
I really love an egg roll wrapper stuffed with something more unique, like my Air Fryer Southwestern Egg Rolls. And I love anything buffalo chicken, especially my Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese. So it was just a matter of time before I made these Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls. I can make a meal out of these. Set them out with some celery and blue cheese or Ranch dressing.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls
- Egg Roll Wraps – I use Nasoya brand
- Chicken – 2 cups of chopped, cooked chicken are required – use rotisserie chicken, canned chicken or cook frozen chicken breast in your Crock-Pot
- Cheddar Cheese – I like this triple cheddar variety
- Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
- Chive and Onion Cream Cheese
- Green Onions – white and light green parts only
- Salt & Pepper
How to make Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls in the Air Fryer
Place the chicken in a large bowl and season it with salt and pepper. Stir together the chive cream cheese and Frank’s Red Hot sauce until they are combined. Add the cream cheese and sauce mixture, shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions to the chicken. Stir with a spatula until it is completely mixed together.
Use a small cookie scoop to place two small scoops of the buffalo chicken filling into the center of each egg roll. Fold according to my instructions below. Brush each egg roll lightly with vegetable oil. Place the egg rolls in a single layer in the basket of your air fryer. Air fry the egg rolls at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes. Use tongs to flip the egg rolls. Continue to air fry at 350 degrees F for an additional 5 minutes, or until they are nicely browned.
How to Fold an Egg Roll
These photos below are from another, non-traditional egg roll recipe I have, Air Fryer Feta Cheese Rolls. You’ll want to try those as well! Place the wrapper so a corner is pointing toward you. Fold the bottom corner over the filling. Fold the two ends inward, so they meet in the middle. Then kind of roll and tuck the filling forward so the top edge seals it all together. Wet the top edge with water to make sure the egg roll is sealed shut. Here’s a video of the process if you’d like more instruction.
