Another day, another dessert. There’s a lot associated with the month of March. It is said to come in like a lion and leave like a lamb… and in between there’s St. Patrick’s Day, the first day of Spring and just a few basketball tournaments. I shared my St. Patrick’s Day dessert with you the other day (a chocolate stout bundt cake) and now I’m sharing a basketball dessert “hack” with you.

These REESE’S brownie cups are sure to be a slam dunk at your next tournament gathering (I’m sorry, the pun was just begging to be used). I call it a hack because I used my favorite brand of brownie mix (Ghirardelli) to make quick work of this sweet snack. I snagged a huge bag of my family’s favorite candy (the REESE’S miniatures) at Walmart and they had the brownie mix for a terrific price ($1.98 per box) too!
I make these hand-held brownies quite often. For the Super Bowl, I used Seattle colored paper cupcake liners. For basketball tournament season, I was easily able to find these orange liners and basketball toppers at a party supply store (conveniently located next to my Walmart). The kids helped me throw these together by mixing up the brownies and unwrapping the REESE’S miniatures. Our friends will help by devouring them as they are watching whatever game we happen to have on our big screen TV. The key to these peanut butter chocolate treats is under-baking them just a touch. That way they are still delectably gooey in the center -SWISH!
Right now, Walmart is partnering with REESE’S for a Snack Talk Challenge. Does your snack have game? Well then show REESE’S your #SnackTalk for a chance to be nationally recognized. The final winner will be recognized on www.reesessnacktalk.com, CBS and walmart.com! Be sure and click HERE to enter your favorite REESE’S snack recipe. There will also be special in-store displays at Walmart highlighting the challenge and all of your favorite REESE’S products that you can grab for your perfect game day snack recipe.
Get in the game with REESE’S and bake a batch or two of these basketball brownies. Your friends and family will love you for it!
